Shelving filters ?

Post by k brown »

Hi all -

Working on something based on the weird old Crumar DS-2 synth, and need a simple high shelf filter and low shelf filter, like those found in a Hi Fi amp. I did a forum search and nothing really showed up. Boost or cut 15dB on both.
Maybe something back on the old SM forum? The manual doesn't specify the frequencies at which they each shelf at, but probably very similar to that used in Hi Fi - around 6 to 8 kHz for the hi, and around 100 Hz for the lo I'd guess.

Thanks

Brilliant, Martin - just what the doctor ordered. I wonder why my search for 'shelving filters' didn't turn these up, since that's the exact wording you used in your post (?).

Thanks so much.

I’ve found that the Search function on the forum is often inadequate. These days I often repeat my search using Google, with Flowstone and DSP robotics in the search terms.

Cheers
