FS Guru: Help indexing best files ever posted on forums.

Post by Exo »

Hey guys,

My plan is to index on Flowstone Guru all the best and most useful modules posted over the years.

So it will be a central place to get all the best stuff ever posted and make it all easily accessible for everyone.

I will need help with this and would love it if the community would get involved.

I will just be linking to the original files instead of hosting them to avoid any copyright or moral issues with taking other people's work and hosting on a 3rd party site they never agreed too.

So if you want to get involved all you need to do is search for your favourite modules on the forums and then post back to this thread with a download link and name description, author ect.
Please don't just link to the thread the file is from but post a direct link to by right clicking the link and then copying the address. Make sure it is the most upto date file.

When posting your link the format should be like this...

Module Name: RBJ Filters
Description: These are a collection of Biquad filters from the RBJ Audio-EQ-Cookbook originally ported to Synthmaker by Shifrin.
Author: Shifrin.
File Link: https://sites.google.com/site/sephid/RBJ-Updated2.osm
Thread link: http://www.synthmaker.co.uk/forum/viewt ... &sk=t&sd=a

This format will make it much easier for me and others to add it to Flowstone Guru.

Thanks for your time to anyone who gets involved!

This could be very useful. There are so much useful modules that are user made, and that SHOULD be included in Flowstone. I really hope that this comes to life...

BTW what to do if just the code was posted? To include just the thread URL?

I will start by myself...

Module Name: Float Array Hold Max
Description: This module holds max value in array for every sample individually.

Thanks for helping out Youlean :)

I think for now just stick to modules, I don't think posting to code samples fits into what we are doing with modules because they are not downloads.

Module Name; cytoTools (part 1)
Description: In this pack, there is a IEEE754 converter tool that lets you convert between different data representations of numbers as well as visualize and edit the bit statuses of different values. There is also a "stage 0" lookup table builder that generates the necessary asm code to build lookup tables of common curves according to user-specified values. Finally, there is an opcode reference that includes all of the opcodes supported by SM's (probably also FS') assembler.

This one should have been first on the list:

Module Name: Trogz Toolz
Description: There's all sorts here - Analysis and de-bugging tools, little time-saving helper modules,..., through to a handful of complete FX and GUI gadgets. All commented and tooltipped, so that it should be fairly easy to work out how to use them - though be warned, there are a handful that will be strictly for the assembly obsessives amongst us!
