Dual monitors, dual applications

Post by Asbjørn »

I've got a challenge I can't find a solution to, I have two identical monitors side by side, and I have two different fullscreen applications made in Flowstone. How do I get the second application to show on the second monitor? Both applications appear on monitor 1.

Thanks

I think the only solution in full screen mode would be to make the 2nd application the same size as the dual monitor set (ie double width) and move everything to the right.

Thanks, but that doesn't work, the grid is only 2000 pixels wide, I need it to be 1920+1920=3840 pixels wide to do that. Any other suggestions?

Developers?

I see, I've passed on your comments to the developers :)

Is there a reason you can't just have one large application?

It's unlikely that what you want can be done as full screen mode takes over the whole screen and this is defined by the graphics card.

As I mentioned above, the reason I can't have one large application is the grid size limit of 2000x2000 pixels, it would have to be 3840x1080 to work with 2x 1080p monitors side by side. Unless there's a good reason for limiting Flowstone to 2000x2000, maybe it could be increased in the next version?

It's OK that full screen mode takes over the whole screen, but it should be possible to select which of the two screens (or more) it uses, examples of applications that can do this are VLC, Powerpoint and many more. It's not a limitation in Windows or the graphics card, it's a programming choice or bug by DSP Robotics.
