So with that in mind, best thing to do if you don't want a switch is probably to set it to work correctly with other hosts and then just hope users won't/tell users not to use the "steps per beat" setting (which probably very few would anyways).
This brings up some other issues. Although IL admits that it's
not the time signature, they dare to send it on a
request by the vsti
for a time sig. This simply has to be changed by IL. It's okay to say the users should use snap settings instead. But then FL has to send a true time sig calculated from their own ancient beat counting technique (does someone remember
MOD? That's the origin of FL Studio). Because now, whatever your snap settings are, FL always sends a 4/4 time signature. How should one calculate the correct syncing values?

I agree with you, but you'll have to take it up with them.

I just created an account there, confirmed my email address and can see the thread's content. But there's no post option anywhere (no creation, no reply)

I believe you need to be a customer (i.e. have purchased an IL product) to post there.

I can't recreate that so I'm not sure why that would be happening.

I must have done something wrong in the account creation process then. Well, to not derail this thread, you'll see on their forums, as soon as I was successful^^

SuperSyncLFO v1 test.fsm
You need audio (out) running in your schematic.
