The fact of the VUs, or just that they and the Vol knob are too 'vintage' style to go with the rest?
I think I'll add indicator lines to the slider knobs, too.
I don't know who made the switch, maybe they'll chime in and take cred.

For me it was just about the style of knob and meters, but now that the meters are gone, I don't miss them! I'm not Martin, and he might have a different taste, but the last revision looks really good!

Wow, what an overwhelming response! Thank you guys, you rock!

@Spogg, can't wait to see/hear your new creation!

@Tula and Spogg: I guess I have to get busy with FS4 by now. I certainly plan to port MIDI Choir and La Voz Cantante to 64 bit, which includes MVerb 7B. If that goes well I might consider Chorous, Randy,...

@Bob, thanks for your nice words. I wish I had your boldness and creativity. You are never afraid of trying something toally crazy, whereas I tend to be more conservative.

@Kevin: thank you for the GUI, man! I like the copper finish without the VU meters. Not sure about the mono switch, think I'd prefer a push button...
Yes, of course you may include the thing in your work.

Thanks again, people, your feedback is really encouraging!

This is very nice indeed, Martin. As bass guitar is my main instrument, I use chorus a lot, and as you say, the cyclic phase cancellations can be very distracting sometimes. Using this, I can get some lovely stereo widening, and a sense of the bass being in a physical space without the smearing effect of e.g. a reverb. It was very noticeable too, that I never felt the need to bypass the lower frequencies around the effect or to use heavy-handed compression, as I often find necessary with other chorus effects.

I think that this could well become my go-to bass chorus - my only wish is that I could port it into my Boss pedal-board for live performance!

Spogg wrote:The big ASM module is faulting with the triangle subroutine. The word triangle only occurs twice so I changed both to spogg and no more errors were reported. Just why it should prefer spogg to triangle I cannot imagine.

In older FS versions, the built-in variables 'triangle' and 'sine' point to look-up tables for those wave shapes, which were included as standard. FS4 seems to recognise that these names were once reserved but no longer point to anything (so it's fine with your own user-defined variable 'spogg'). I had the same problem with my 'Super-LFO' schematic a while ago, where I'd relied on the sine lookup table.
All schematics/modules I post are free for all to use - but a credit is always polite!

Well here's a teaser. This is one instance of the forthcoming Quilcom SECTION playing a MIDI file in Reaper (I've yet to make the video):

Thanks for the contribution, Martin. It's s very interesting chorus. Kevin, your designs are great too. Attached just another skin with a little different approach that refers to the old 60's style.

Cheers.
