Re: Synthmaker bundle

I keep forgetting to throw this question out there -

Anyone know if it's possible to have a single button or switch that will set all controls to their defaults? - would be a great thing to have on these big modular emulations. Would also make it easier to make presets using the Preset Manager, since advancing to the next empty slot sets every control to random, useless settings. Or is there still something I don't get about that thing?

Thanks

There are 2 ways to do this that I know of:

(1) Add a wireless trigger input to the “default” point in all controls. This is the then the same as doing a cntrl-click on the knob. Then have a button to wirelessly transmit the trigger from the highest level in the schematic to the lowest. This works, but all controls need to be modified, that’s assuming they already have the wiring in place for the default function.

(2) My preferred method is to create an initialisation preset, called say INIT, and load this into a new slot every time before starting. I also provide an INIT preset for the user in the preset manager.

Hope this helps!

Cheers

Thanks - your second point is the way I thought you could do it, but last I tried it it didn't seem load something I'd saved - seems to be working now, though; I must have done something wrong. Glad to hear these are usable the way they are - if you know how to use the Preset Manager.

hello K brown, just had a look to your website, you are linking to soundradix 32 lives, afaik this is apple only so maybe it is misleading for win only plugins...

This behaviour you describe is classic if you have a non-unique parameter name. You re-load a preset and it's not the same as when you last saved it. But sometimes it is! I know that's counter-intuitive but I would say to triple-check the uniqueness of all your parameter lines.

Yeah, I'd probably been testing it on a synth that had not yet had it's parameters named.

Wow- they sure don't make that clear on their home page; you don't see that till you get all the way to the bottom and read the fine print!

Thanks for the heads up.

Fairly significant update to tonus Pro Colorist - level doesn't jump up with each additional HP or Res bank 'channel' that's switched on. Over-all level lowered to reduce internal clipping. Each filter path's waveforms are now controlled by level adjustments, rather than on/off buttons.

Procolorist produces no sound at all in fl studio 12.4 no matter what parameter I change.

It's a quirk of the filter switching - at least one 'channel' of all three (HP and both BP) banks must be on for audio to pass.
