Latest beta 309 no longer saves to file
Latest beta 309 no longer saves to file
I have problems.
Latest beta version will no longer save to file, even though it behaves as it does, as one see the saving procedure happening. I have the latest win10 pro edition. This error is new since I last used FS in January 2020.
Second problem is that it SAVE AS is also not working. Did not work in January, either. This has been going on for some time. Flowstone claims the file does not exist, hence cannot be saved, which is a self-evident bug.
Third problem is that I have found no way to revert to an older version, which means I am superstuck.
Would there be a way to revert to v 3.06, which I read in another post is more stable?
Any help appreciated!
PS: What happened after the latest beta several years ago? Did the whole project stop?

I can answer myself.
The cause is the "for your own good" security feature in Windows10 (pro) called "Controlled folder access". It is perhaps the most incredibly stupid feature I have ever seen, as it BLOCKS apps from writing, but do not notify the user of the blocking. Amazing that Microsoft that has been developing their operating system since the nineties, is still in the kindergarten software department.
Problem solved.
EDIT: Because Windows send all sorts of silly notifications, I once turned it off. Thus, security warnings was included in that. Still very silly and cumbersome.
