Re: HDMI?

You should be able to use both monitors with that card. If what I am saying it trivial, I apologize. I use 3 monitors on my main system. The first monitor was the default monitor and when you disconnected it, the auto detect kicked in switching to the HDMI port.
You have to tell windows it is there ...

Re: HDMI?

Agreed! Don't over think. Buy the cheapest one even, I have used gold ones expensive and cheap ones. I never actually analyzed the signal directly, but from watching the picture and sound, I couldn't see or hear a difference because it is digital. I do use Displayport for my newer RTX gear at 144hz ...

Re: HDMI?

Just to make sure I understood: There is no version restriction and connecting a, say, 1.3 device with a 2.1 device, using a 2.0 cable would not introduce any issues?

I used DVI for so long that I never got into the HDMI topic. My old XBox 360 was connected via HDMI to my TV, but the cable back ...

Re: DSPplug LU EBU 2016 meter (more accurate than Youlean)

I could not resist image attachment. I get what @k brown is saying about sending a recording to a customer and I would want perfection. The same goes for weddings and jpg, why do they send you the jpg and not the raw?
I have seen plenty of DJ's use MP3 and when you store as many songs as they do, I ...

Re: DSPplug LU EBU 2016 meter (more accurate than Youlean)

As the original statement I said for MP3, 192+ bitrate is solid for common use. I wonder if K brown used VBR instead CBR settings, some bad software or did he record in MP3? I only use CBR and I will not allow an algorithm to change the quality up and down during encoding.
I listen to classical too ...

I like mayonnaise.

(Just to make sure it really is the furthest off-topic any thread has gone )

I like Pepperoni pizza, does Germans eat that?? hahaha

@k brown - sounds like it is your gear then. Tube amp is over distorting the misses of MP3. lol Have you actually ripped your CD? Or were you at ...

Re: DSPplug LU EBU 2016 meter (more accurate than Youlean)

Boy, you guys are making me feel like Fred Flintstone! I do all my music listening with CDs. In the living room on an SACD deck, and in the bedroom on a portable CD player plugged into a vacuum tube amplifier.

Unless you have a dog like hearing, I promise you most people will not hear a ...

Re: DSPplug LU EBU 2016 meter (more accurate than Youlean)

I am with you on the ownership. I ripped all of my CD's and stuck them in many totes down in the basement. This is my lifetime collection since I was young and I do subscribe to Amazon Unlimited, but I have a plex server in my house too. I still have several burners from years past and many blank ...

Re: complicated GUI interfaces

Thanks for the details and now I feel like I am learning FS again. I worked so hard learning how to piece things together and now I am stopped in my tracks trying to figure out proper way to overlay something trivial for working with the graphics portion. Blitting sections of a bmp to the screen is ...
