Re: Flowstone and Pololu's Mini Maestro 12

I purchased a Pololu Micro Maestro and I can get it to work with Pololu's configuration software, but I can't get it to work with the Flowstone test program above.

I'm not sure what I'm missing, I set it to "USB Dual Port" mode and selected the "0" servo but nothing seems to work.

I know the ...

Re: Xbox Controller Game!

You need a special receiver that plugs into your PC.
It allows your wireless controller to sync with your controller.

It's called a "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver". Just do a Google search.
You should be able to find one at a local store.

Re: Help?

Yeah, I forget to mention Flowstone 2!

I already have a book on beginning Ruby. Very excited!

Re: OWI Robotic Arm Edge

Do you know if the arm uses servos or standard motors?

I believe that if you connected the leads to a servo/motor (whichever the arm uses) controller, you
should be able to make up a Flowstone program that can control it.

If you look in the "Flowstone Examples" section there are Flowstone ...

Re: Help?

I agree. I asked if there was a chance of a guide book being written.
I was directed towards the examples section.
They are good, but I would like a more comprehensive guide.

Maybe when it gains in popularity, someone will make an attempt at a guidebook. :)

Re: Sources For Learning Basic Programming?

Well, since no one had any suggestions for resources for learning the basics of programming,
I did some research on my own.

I found a book entitled: Beginning Programming All-In-One Desk Reference For Dummies.

I've begun reading it and I think that it is quite good. I would recommend it to anyone ...

Sources For Learning Basic Programming?

I have had a long time interest in hobby robotics and I am
greatly interested in using Flowstone to program them.

I really have had no programming training. So, although Flowstone
is quite easy to use, I don't have enough basic programming knowledge
to know how to construct Flowstone programs ...

Re: Rotating stand

Like I said, a novice... lol ;)

Can you give me an example of an operation that would be too fast for Flowstone to properly time?
Just so that I have an idea what sort of processes would give Flowstone problems.

Thanks!

Re: Rotating stand

I'm a novice with Flowstone. However in reading the documentation, I have seen it stated that since the timing is running through the computers software, there can be issues when very precise timing is needed.

You would be better off with a stand alone microcontroller running onboard code that can ...

Re: XBox Controller Hack - XBugBot

Here is another (reputable) source for line following sensors.
They are from SparkFun so no worries.

http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9453

These are sold individually, so three would
be required for the XBugBot. Like before,
there is an analog version and a digital version.
Just ...
